Soumen Hajra, Vice President, Europe

Soumen Hajra is Vice President with AAG’s European practice based in London U.K., where he advises clients with interest in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the U.S. on market entry, expansion and partner development. In providing such expert service, he is able to draw on his experience working at the intersection of technology, consulting, and finance.

Mr. Hajra joins AAG from serving as an Engagement Manager at KPMG Boxwood in London where he oversaw strategy and transformation consulting across retail, financial services, healthcare, energy and technology sectors. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant with BearingPoint consulting in London and New York offices, and held other senior consulting positions at Barclays UK, and Capital One Financial Services.

His expertise covers business strategy, partnership development and managing large-scale initiatives helping companies expand in new geographies as well as new product niches. He combines his deep knowledge of the UK business environment, legal frameworks and financial regulatory requirements with the technical ability to offer advice to clients wishing to grow their business.

Mr. Hajra has a mature business network within the UK and Europe, and is experienced in understanding business opportunities, forecasting market trends and mitigating challenges in all industries. Through his experience working in management consulting and strategy on both sides of the Atlantic, Mr. Hajra has developed a critical appreciation of the differences in business cultures and expectations between the UK and North America, and the subtle nuances that prepare companies in doing business in the UK.

Mr. Hajra received a Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology; a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Master of Business Administration from the Columbia Business School.

He is based in London and travels frequently to client and partner locations.
