Kash J. Pashootan, CIM, Director (non-executive)
Kash J. Pashootan is a Senior Vice President, Private Client Group, and Portfolio Manager at Raymond James Ltd., a leading full-service wealth management firm. He is a Chartered Investment Manager and has 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Raymond James, Kash was a Vice-President and Investment Advisor at a bank-owned investment management firm.
Over the last decade, Kash has established a reputation with clients as a conservative practitioner with an in-depth understanding of the capital markets. In 2009, he founded First Avenue Advisory of Raymond James Ltd. to meet the unique needs of select executives, professionals and high-net-worth families.
Kash regularly appears on national television to provide commentary on the global economy and capital markets and writes the business column for OLM, which appears in the Globe and Mail. He has been called upon for analysis and commentary on Business News Network (BNN), Wall Street Journal, and the National Post.
Kash’s clients include retired and current CEOs, medical professionals, senior partners at accounting and law firms, and successful business owners. Kash’s clients are based primarily in Canada, but also extend to New York City, Hong Kong, and the United Kingdom.
In 2011, Kash was selected by Ottawa Life Magazine as one of the Top 25 Most Influential People in the Capital. He was the first Financial Advisor in history to be named to this prestigious list. Kash was also named to the Raymond James Ltd. Chairman’s Council in 2011 and 2012, which is a national award and highest honour given to a select few Financial Advisors. Council members are named by the Chairman and CEO of Raymond James Ltd.
He is passionate about mentorship and lifelong learning. Kash is actively involved at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and been recognized for his commitment and overall contributions. He is the recipient of the Career Successes Top Contributor Award and Certificate of Outstanding Contribution to Education both from the Telfer School of Management at University of Ottawa. Kash’s philanthropic activities including supporting several national and local charities, including the Ottawa Hospital Foundation and the Ottawa Cancer Foundation.
